Trappy Bats

Vinyl edition of Moon Diagram’s ‘Trappy Bats’ Mini-LP released on Sonic Cathedral for the UK/EU and Geographic North for the US/rest of the world. The album interweaves three new songs by Moses Archuleta’s Moon Diagrams project, with reworks from Shigeto, Angel Deradoorian, and Jefre Cantu-Ledesma.
A rigid grid-layout, simple typography, and bold, erotic imagery are the hallmarks of the twen Magazine house style established by Willy Fleckhaus in the 1960’s. The idea to reference the magazine’s innovative look originated out of necessity, as Moses was only in town for a mere 24-hours and I was shit-out of ideas.
The music’s general themes of evolution and progression are illustrated through the back cover’s motion-photography paired with brief, expressive text written for each track.
